Simon is going into his sophomore year at Shrewsbury High School. He loves music and spends most of his time playing instruments ranging from tuba to drums to guitar.  Over the years he has enjoyed a variety of different summer camp experiences, from traditional day camp to preforming arts camp. He was involved in a very cool performing arts camp where he formed a band, wrote a song, preformed in a concert and made a professional music video. He has loved going to summer camps growing up and hopes the kids he gets to work with will enjoy it as much as he has.

Jack is a graduating senior from Wachusett High School. He performed in 8 plays and musicals throughout his 4 years there. He won a TAMY for Best Actor this year for Catch me if you Can and last year for a tap dancing role in the Drowsy Chaperone.  He has been in 23 productions since the age of 10 with Central Mass Onstage, Calliope Productions, and Assumption College with the Hanover Theater. He also belongs to the Honors Singers and Jazz Choir at Wachusett. This fall he will be a proud member of University of Connecticut’s BFA in acting program. He is excited to begin camp and bring enthusiasm to kids with the same passion as himself. With hard work anything is possible!

Our Staff

Stephanie Dozois, Camp Director

Stephanie is very excited to start this year at Wachusett Theater Co. Throughout high school she was very active in her school and church choirs and ensembles. She was trained as a soprano singer and performed in many school plays. She has spent most of her adult life caring for children as a nanny and a Director of Christian Education. She has a creative eye and a passion for photography.

Melissa Rayla, Youth Director

Melissa Rayla  (Youth Director) is very excited to be directing Peter Pan this year!  Melissa is a long time Wachusett Theatre Company veteran  and has been the youth director for a number of years now.  Having been  on stage since the age of 5 she was bitten by the acting bug pretty early in life.  Although she started out as a gymnast she quickly realized that dance and vocal training were much more useful in the world of musical theatre.  So to get a leg up on the competition she trained in tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe, and began voice lessons.

Some of her favorite on stage credits include Peter Pan, Aida, Cinderella, and The King and I. She attended `Worcester State University where she studied Early Childhood Education and Psychology.  Children have always been at the heart of her endeavors.  Although the roles have reversed for a few years now she usually tries to sneak into her productions each year so keep an eye out!

Thanks to Kristian for his continued support, and to
Mom and Dad for always letting me dream!

Brianne Hoey, Choreographer

Brianne Hoey (Choreographer) is returning this year as choreographer. She has danced professionally at Walt Disney World and Holland America Cruise Line. She is really excited to share my love of dance with everyone this summer!
